Below you will find a list of common FAQs. If you have a question that is not listed here then please don't hesitate to contact me.

Does it hurt?

Cosmetic tattooing isn’t that painful at all. It can feel scratchy at times but nothing too unbearable. It is worth baring in mind when booking your treatment that being run down, tired or if it’s that certain time of the month this can also have an effect on your sensitivity to pain. So if this is something you’re worried about you might be best to avoid these times when booking.
Will you tattoo my eyebrows on in black?

No, is the short answer. The long answer is that black will not only look unnatural but will end up taking on a greenish-blue tinge once healed within the skin of the brow area which I think we can all agree is not a flattering look. I always work to match the colour of the tattooing to the natural brow hair of my client as closely as possible.
I don't want people to know I've had a permanent make up procedure, will it be obvious once healed?

The great thing about permanent make up is that you can really tailor it to your requirements so if you want those natural looking brows, glamorous dramatic eyeliner or a subtle blush of colour on the lips I can work it so that the only one in the room that knows you have tattooing is you and who ever you choose to tell. Do bare in mind that permanent make up will always look about 20-30% darker when it’s freshly done in comparison to how it will heal. So if you’re super sure you don’t want anyone to know remember this when booking treatments around social engagements.
How long will my treatment take to heal?

About 2 weeks for any scabbing/flaking to stop and then a further 2-4 weeks for the pigment to settle within the skin and true colour to become visible.
Can I go in the jacuzzi/sauna/swimming pool after my treatment?

You must wait 2 weeks at least before participating in any of these activities. This is to minimise the risk of infection and maximise your pigment retention. Please bare this in mind when booking.
I want to get my brows Microbladed, whats the difference between that and tattooing?

The answer is actually not much. Microblading is itself a form of tattooing. The difference is that microblading is done via dragging a tight grouping of acupuncture needles through the skin, the pigment is deposited into the channel created via the minimal vibration of the needles hitting against one another as the artist drags. The minimal vibration results in a hairstroke that is often crisper than that of a machine but does not last as long.

Machine hairstrokes are great for those that want a bolder and longer lasting look as they have the power of an electric rotary tattoo machine (developed specifically for use on the face) behind them. You can still crate a natural look with a machine however the hairstokes do heal slightly softer.
